On lawn mower M53 S there is a protective cover mounted 
over the drive’s gearbox.

The protective cover is designed to reduce the risk of crush 
injuries and to catch a broken drive belt.

The cutting cover is designed to reduce vibration and to 
reduce the risk of cuts.

 

The engine brake is designed to stop the engine. When the 
grip on the engine brake handle is released the engine should 
stop.

On lawn mower M53 S the engine brake handle should also 
disengage the drive.
