To connect the console port to a PC that is running terminal emulation software, use the procedure in
this section.

The console port does not support hardware flow control.
Cable
Use an RJ-45-to-DB-9 console cable (see location 5 in
).
Procedure
Step 1
Connect the cable between the Cisco IAD console port and the serial port on the PC or ASCII terminal.
Step 2
Configure the terminal emulation software requirements:

9600 baud

8 data bits
•
1 stop bit
•
no parity
