This Test option enables hex tracing for diagnosing print job prob-
lems. When hex dump mode is selected, all data sent to the printer 
is printed in hexadecimal and character representation. Control 
codes are not executed.

 option overrides this option. This means that 

a hex dump is not produced even though this option is set to Hex 
Dump-Mode.

Normal printer operation.

Print job as hex characters without executing 
control codes.
