Indicates a character in range.

Indicates zero or more characters.

 

 

Examples are as follows: 

Locates Solaris1, and SolarisN, but not Solaris1Z

Locates Windows2000, and Windows2003 Server

Locates Windows2000, but not Windows2003 Server

Locates all nodes that have been configured with an IP
