Installing User Software on a Windows Computer

Downloading printer files with the Installer WebTool

Installers for the DocuColor 40 CP printer files can be downloaded from the
DocuColor 40 CP with the Installer WebTool (if the site administrator has enabled
Internet access to the DocuColor 40 CP). For instructions, see “Using the Installer
WebTool” on page 58.
Once you download the installers, the installation process is identical to installing from
the User Software CD.

Setting up the DocuColor 40 CP as a PostScript printer

To set up the DocuColor 40 CP as a PostScript printer, you need a PostScript printer
driver and the appropriate DocuColor 40 CP PPD file.
Install the appropriate Adobe PostScript printer driver, included with the
DocuColor 40 CP user software. All drivers are capable of providing access to all
DocuColor 40 CP features; in addition, the Adobe PostScript printer drivers for
Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 supports PostScript 3.
The following procedures are specific to each version of Windows.
