Power ON the external analog modem.

set up the communications software to use the same COM port

Installing a New External Analog Modem
1.
Start the Express Configuration Wizard.

Click Connect External Modem.
3.
Click Close.

From Start, select Setting, then Control Panel, and double
click Modems.

Select Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list.

Click NEXT.

Select the manufacturer and model of your modem. If your
modem is not listed, or if you have an installation disk, click

10. Select the COM port to use with this modem. This will be
the same COM port that is used by the Express XRT.
