A: Make sure the connections are secure.

A: Possible reasons:

• Make sure all of the connections are secure.
• If you have an add-on card, make sure it is working prop-

erly and update the software/firmware.

• Make sure you have the latest updates for your operating

system.

We are aware of this issue on the Mac, though it is not really

a technical problem. It has to do with the fact that the Drive

was formatted with the FAT32 file system, which makes it

compatible with both PCs and Macs. If you find the time-to-

mount unacceptable, you can re-format the Drive with one

of the Mac OS Extended files systems. This will resolve the
