Refill Tank
You must use the Refill Tank command every time you fill up and
every time you calibrate a fuel flow to make sure the fuel flow reads the
tank as full. For more information on the Refill Tank function see page
27.
To calibrate an EP-10 Fuel Flow:
Add the Fuel Manager page or any of the digital gauge pages to the
page screen rotation, then customize the selected page with Fuel Used
data. To see instructions on how to Add Pages and Customize Pages,
refer to the Operation Section.
NOTE:
When following the steps below, run only ONE engine — the
engine attached to the fuel flow. That is the only way to accurately
calculate how much fuel passed through the fuel flow. Make sure
the Fuel Remaining Source has been set to Fuel Flow.
1. Fill up the fuel tank connected to the EP-10 Fuel Flow you want to
calibrate. Press

Fuel Management page has been added to the main display and that
the page has been customized to show USD (Fuel Used). If the Fuel
Management page is not displayed or if it is not customized to display
USD (Fuel Used, refer to the Add Pages and Customizing Pages
segments in the Operation section.
5. Take your boat out, but only use ONE engine — the engine
connected to the fuel flow. Burn at least 5 gallons of fuel, then fill up
the tank again, noting how much fuel was added to the tank. Check the
Fuel Management page for the fuel used figure calculated by the EP-10
Fuel Flow.
6. Compare the amount of fuel you added when you filled up the tank
with the EP-10 Fuel Used figure. If the difference between these two
numbers is greater than 3 percent, you need to recalibrate the unit.
