Label Cables
Label the cables as described in this section.
The port label shown in the next figure is installed on both ends of the
25-pair cables connecting to the trunk/auxiliary field and/or the distribution field.
See Table 5-1 for the cable label and colour code. The building and floor labels
connect from the equipment room to a site/satellite location on another floor or in
another building. The auxiliary circuits connect to the trunk/auxiliary field.

The 1-pair external trunks are installed by the local telephone company in the
trunk auxiliary field. Tie trunks also appear in the trunk auxiliary field. Refer to
callout 2 on Figure 5-1 on page 5-2.
