What is HDMI?
The High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is a
revolutionary technology that allows viewers to
experience the highest quality digital images available. It
is able to deliver top-quality video as well as audio over a
single cable.
This growing technology is great for displays in many
different situations: movie theatres, concert halls, public
transportation, malls, shops, airports, schools, etc.
But there is one major challenge system integrators face
when working with HDMI: cost. With 10 meter (33 feet)
HDMI cables running in the hundreds of dollars, builders
need a simple and cost-effective way to deploy large
HDMI networks. And it would also be nice to have
extended distances as well.

What does a Cat.5 sender do?
This compact device is deployed at the HD source,
generally connected to an HD player, PS3, or Xbox 360.
HVE-9001 accepts the HD signal from the short HDMI cable
and then uses Cat.5 cable to send the HDMI signal to the
receiver. It also has a built-in equalization knob to help
you fine tune your HD signals to achieve the highest-
quality available.
