Recalling the Previous Command Line
(bang, bang)

Inserting Characters
To insert a character between characters already typed, use the Left and Right Arrow keys to place the
cursor into position, then type the new character. Once the command is correct, execute it by pressing
Enter. In the following example, the user enters the wrong syntax to execute the
cursor into position, then type the new character. Once the command is correct, execute it by pressing

command. The result is an error message.
-> show microcode

To correct the syntax without retyping the entire command line, use the
syntax. Then, use the Left Arrow key to position the cursor between the “r” and the “c” characters. To
insert the missing character, type “o”.
