OmniSwitch CLI Reference Guide

Configures the maximum number of C-RP routers allowed in the PIM-SM domain.

ip pim max-rps number

The maximum number of C-RP routers allowed in the PIM-SM domain 
(1–100).

OmniSwitch 6850, 6855, 9000, 9000E

• This command is supported only in the sparse mode.

• This command is used with both IPv4 and IPv6 PIM-SM. The PIM-SM must be disabled before chang-

ing max-rps value.

• PIM-SM must be globally disabled before changing the maximum number of C-RP routers. To 

globally disable PIM-SM, refer to the
