Welcome to
Command Audio!
Your RCA CA1000 receiver is designed for
discriminating users who wish to gather, customize,
and listen to a broad range of information never
before available from a single source. Whether it’s
news, sports, weather, or lifestyle programming,
information is at your command at the press of a
button, once information is stored and updated.
Please glance at the following questions and answers
to familiarize yourself with the Command Audio
Service.
How are Programs Updated?
Your receiver is constantly updating and storing new
programs, even while you are listening to it.  This
means that you don’t have to worry about missing
new programs while listening to other programs. The
information will be there when you are ready to
listen to it.
Different programs are updated according to
different schedules.  Your Program Guide (located in
a pocket of the Quick Start Guide) will tell you when
new information is gathered for the programs that
you wish to listen to.
What If I Travel Out of Range
of the Signal?
The Command Audio Service is available in various
cities throughout the United States. If you travel out
of range of the Command Audio signal, (or if you set
the reception switch to “OFF,”) the receiver will stop
updating your programs. You will, however, be able
to play the existing programs from your receiver’s
memory. Once you return to any Command Audio
Service area, and it is getting power, your receiver
will be able to update your programs.
IMPORTANT:  If you missed receiving a scheduled
update due to being out of signal range or loss of
power, you will not receive a new update until the
next scheduled time period. (For example if you
typically get an update every evening and missed this
evening’s update due to loss of signal or power, then
you will not get the next update until tomorrow
evening.)
