Select
Record using
＜ ＞
/ button from Main Menu screen, and then press
OK button.
Line-in Record mode appears.

To start the Line-in record, press
button, and then play with an external audio device.
Elapsed recording time is displayed.

To end recording, press
button.
The recording ends, and the recored file will be saved in the My Recordings folder.
Note
When the memory is full, recording stops automatically.
When the remaining battery power is too low, recording is not possible.
For external audio device encoding, the 24PIN USB Multi-Cable comes with the player must be used.
Be sure to set the external audio device’s volume on an appropriate level before encoding. The encoded
sound quality will be poor if the volume is too high or too low.
The volume of the player cannot be adjusted during recording.
File name of the voice record will be created based on the date and time of the recording, like Voice-
YYMMDD-HHMMSS.mp3. (For example, Voice-050912-174536.mp3)
File name of the Line-in record will be created based on the date and time of the recording, like Music-
YYMMDD-HHMMSS.mp3. (For example, Music-050912-135045.mp3)
