Connect the VIMA to your television.

If you want to connect the VIMA to the video connector of your television, use a video cable
(commercially available) to connect the VIMA’s VIDEO OUTPUT jack to the television. If you want
to connect to your television’s S-Video connector, use an S-Video cable to make the connection
from the VIMA’s S-VIDEO connector.

3.

4.

Switch on your television.

5.

6.

Specify the aspect ratio (ratio between width and height) for your
television (p. 120).

The aspect ratio is the proportional relationship between the width and height of the screen.
The VIMA’s screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9. Televisions can have an aspect ratio of
either 4:3 or 16:9 (wide screen).

NOTE
If your television has both a video jack and an S-Video connector
The VIMA’s video output provides both a VIDEO jack and a S-VIDEO connector. You may
use either of these, depending on the type of connector provided on your television. If
your television has both VIDEO and S-VIDEO connectors, we recommend that you use the
S-VIDEO connection.
The S-VIDEO connector will provide a higher-quality picture than the VIDEO connector.
