SETTINGS:
Enter preset equalizer menu and other settings.  Move the MODE button to the right to highlight 
the following sub-menus:
Equalizer 
This menu lets you control tonal output.  Move the MODE button to the right
   
to highlight NORMAL.  Move the MODE button again to highlight Pop.   Move
   
again for Rock.  Move again to highlight Classical.  Move again for Jazz.  Once
   
you've selected your listening preference, press the MODE button down
   
to confirm and return to the SETTINGS menu.  Move the MODE button to the
   
right to highlight the Repeat Mode menu. 
Repeat Mode  Press the MODE button down to access the REPEAT MODE menu.  Here you  
   
can adjust how the Yaz Lipstick MP3 Player will function in the play mode.   
   
Move the MODE button to the right once for NORMAL playback.   
   
Move the MODE button to the right again to repeat the current selection.  Move 
   
the MODE button again to repeat all selections in memory.  Move the MODE  
   
button to the right again to play all tracks in random sequence.   Once you have   
   
displayed your preferred Play Mode setting, press the MODE button down  
   
to confirm and return to the SETTINGS menu.  Move the MODE button to  
   
the right to highlight Contrast menu.
Contrast 
Move the MODE button to the right or left to adjust the display's contrast level.  
   
When finished, press the MODE button down to confirm.  Move the MODE  
   
button to the right to highlight Backlight menu.
Backlight 
Press the MODE button down to access the BACKLIGHT menu.  Move the  
   
MODE button to the left or right to select how long the backlight display remains  
   
active after a button has been pressed.  There are 4 selections: Always off,
   
5 sec., 10 sec., and Always on.  NOTE:   Using longer backlight display will  
   
use more battery power. Press the MODE button down to return to the  
   
SETTINGS menu.  
Power Set 
Press the MODE button down to access POWER SET mode.  Move  
   
the MODE button to the left or the right to turn the unit off automatically after  
   
2-minutes or 10-minutes or 30 minutes of inactivity.  Once you have made  
   
your selection, press the MODE button down to return to the SETTINGS menu.   
   
Move  the MODE button to the right to highlight the RECORD SET menu.
Record Set 
This menu displays several Bit Rate settings for voice recording.  The sound  
   
quality depends on the Bit Rate selection.  When finished, press the MODE  
   
button down to return to the SETTINGS menu.
Language 
The Yaz Lipstick MP3 Player menus can be displayed in a variety of different  
   
languages.  Press the MODE button down to access the LANGUAGE options.   
   
Then move the MODE button  to the right to scroll through your options.  Once  
   
you find your preferred display language, press the MODE button down to  
   
confirm. Move the MODE button to the right to exit the SETTINGS menu. 
Storage 
Move the MODE button to the right again to highlight the STORAGE menu
     
where you can find information regarding total internal memory, free memory
   
and firmware version. Press the MODE button down to return to the MAIN menu.
MODE SWITCH: 
When you are not in a menu screen, move the MODE button to the left or the right to skip to the 
beginning of the next track or return to the beginning of the song in play.  Moving the MODE 
button repeatedly can help to quickly find the beginning of any selection in memory.  The TRACK 
INDICATOR will change each time the MODE button is pressed.   
VOLUME:
Press the plus (+) or minus (-)  button to raise or lower the volume.  As the volume is adjusted, a 
bar graph display will appear on screen to show the loudness level  (from minimum to maximum).
HOLD:
This sliding switch helps prevent accidental mishaps while you and your Yaz Lipstick MP3 Player 
are in motion.  Slide it to the right to activate.  With HOLD activated, the player will continue to 
function, but the volume cannot be adjusted and power cannot be turned off.  Deselect HOLD 
(slide the switch to the left) to unlock the player and make desired adjustments.
BELT CLIP:
This spring-activated clip provides a safe, secure way to attach the player to a belt or pocket for 
more convenient on-the-go listening.

•  Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.
•  Use only the type battery recommended for the unit.
•  Batteries should be replaced only by an adult.
•  Insert batteries with the correct polarity ( + and – ).
•  Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
•  Do not short-circuit batteries.
•  When not used for an extended time, remove batteries to prevent possible  
 
  leakage and damage to the unit.
•  Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
•  Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging.
•  Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision
•  Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries
•  Do not dispose of batteries in fire as they may leak or explode.
•  Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
•  Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
NOTE:  The voltage of a fully-charged, rechargeable battery is often lower than that of a fresh 
alkaline battery.  Therefore, it is recommended that alkaline batteries be used instead of 
rechargeable batteries for best performance and for longest play time.

PROBLEM
