154   Ring Tone Composer 
Composing and Adding a New Ring Tone 
At the Ringer Composer display, tap New to enter the Edit Melody screen.

Your composer has the following features to assist you with composing your Ring tone. 
•  A keyboard that is used to enter notes and rests into the stave. 
•  Interval Control Buttons to determine where a note falls. 
Tap on 
 to select the high octave of notes. 
Tap on 
 to select the middle octave of notes. 
Tap on 
 to select the lower octave of notes. These notes will appear on a separate stave. 
•  A series of note length buttons that you can assign on a note-by-note basis. Notes will then be 
played according to the length assigned to them. 
•  A delete note button   that deletes the last note on the stave when tapped. 
•  A series of keys similar to those on a cassette player by which you navigate through the 
composition. 
Tap on 
 to play the previous note. 
Tap on 
 to go to the beginning of the Ring tone.. 
Tap on   
 to play your Ring tone. 
Tap on 
 
 to go to the end of the Ring tone. 
Tap on   
 play the next note.. 
You can play your Ring tone at any time whilst you are editing or composing it. Tap OK to finish 
editing save the Ring tone, and enter the Composer screen. Tap on the field after the Title: 
prompt and enter a title. Then tap OK to return to the Composer screen. 
Tap 
 at the Edit Melody screen where you can select the following options: 
•  Change Tempo 
•  Clear All Notes 
•  View Labels  
•  Delete Melody 
Tap 
 at the Composer screen to select Send via SMS, Beam Melody or Delete Melody
Play composition 
(switches to STOP 
while playing 
Play previous note 
Go to beginning 
Rest 
Plays and indicates active note 
Tab = delete before the cursor 
Go to end note 
Play next note 
Duration 
High range 
Middle range 
Low range
