to the base and press the Exit option to try to connect 
again. 

• If you have previously registered with this base and 

still cannot see the base, refer to “Troubleshooting” on 
page 39.

If the base is operating and you have not previously used 
that base:

Press Menu to enter the Setup screen. 

Press Regstr to register with the base.

When prompted, enter the 6-character ID printed 
on the bottom of the base and press Send.

A dialog box opens asking you to accept the 
registration request from the handheld. Click the 
Accept button in the dialog box.

If you are prompted to select a service, press the 
option key below AIM.

Enter your screen name on the Send Text line 
and press Send.

Enter your password and press Send. The Who’s 
Online Now screen displays.
