Pocket CoPilot Quick Start
1. Software Installation
Before installing Pocket CoPilot

please be sure you have done the following:
1) Installed Microsoft

ActiveSync
TM
on your computer.
2) Activated ActiveSync by connecting your Pocket PC to your computer.
3) Uninstalled any previous Pocket CoPilot versions.
To install Pocket CoPilot to your Pocket PC and computer:
1) Insert Pocket CoPilot Install Disk into your CD-ROM drive.
The Install menu will appear. If it does not, double-click My Computer
and click on the CD-ROM drive. Follow the on-screen instructions.

3) During installation you will be prompted to insert the Data Disk and
install the map database to your computer's hard drive (700MB of

2. Customizing Your Map Data Selection
To use Pocket CoPilot, you must first download the desired street-level map
data to your Pocket PC.

1) Be sure Pocket PC and desktop/laptop are connected via ActiveSync

2) If downloading to a Storage Card (recommended), be sure

3) Launch the program by clicking the Pocket CoPilot icon

desktop. The Data Download Wizard will

4) Follow the Data Download Wizard instructions to specify

5) There are three ways to select map data:
A. Select City Radius to download a specified radius
around a city of your choice:
