Getting Started

To turn on the device, press the POWER button. When you turn on the device for the first 

time, you are asked to complete a calibration process. For more information, see “Calibrate 

the device” in this chapter.
To turn off the device, press POWER again.

 

Pressing POWER turns off your XV6700 temporarily and switches the device to sleep  

   

mode. However, you can still receive messages and calls while your XV6700 is in sleep  

   

mode.

To turn off your wireless service to the device, turn Flight Mode On. See Chapter 3 for 

instructions.

Calibrating the device screen involves tapping with the stylus 

the center of a cross as it moves around the screen. This 

process ensures that when you tap the screen with your stylus, 

the tapped item is activated.
If your XV6700 does not accurately respond to screen taps, 

please follow these steps to re-calibrate it:

Tap 

Start > Settings > System tab > Screen.

On the 

General tab, tap Align Screen, and follow the 

instructions on the screen.
