9- to 15-pin adapter
If your satellite receiver uses a 15-pin serial cable, you will need to use the 9-pin to 15-pin
adapter to connect the satellite receiver to ReplayTV.

RJH to 9-pin adapter
If you have a satellite receiver that uses telephone cable in place of serial cable, you will
need to use the RJH to 9-pin adapter to connect the satellite receiver to ReplayTV. RCA
models DRD221RD, DRD222RD, DRD223RD, and DS2122RD will all require this
adapter.

Ethernet cable
The Ethernet cable is required to use ReplayTV. Make sure its connected to your home
network at all times. Channel Guide data is sent over the Ethernet connection. This con-
nection will allow you to connect your ReplayTV 4000 to your home network.

VGA cable (not included)
VGA cable currently delivers the best picture quality and is recommended if your televi-
sion or monitor supports it. ReplayTV supports both RGB and YPbPr video formats. Refer
to your television or monitor user’s guide for information about the types of video formats
it supports.

Note: Macrovision protected programming will be recorded if you use the YPbPr
video setting but cannot be viewed using this setting. You must change the video set-
ting to “RGB” or “None” to view Macrovision protected programming. Select Video
Output Settings from the Setup screen to change the setting.
