Setting up a Client Computer
This section describes the procedures for setting up a client in a network that uses
Windows 2000, Windows NT Server or Windows NT Workstation as a print server.
To print from Windows NT 4.0, you must install the printer driver and change
the printer port to the print server.

❒ This section assumes that the client has already been configured to communi-
cate with a Windows 2000 or Windows NT print server. Do not begin the fol-
lowing procedure until the client has been set up and configured correctly.

Use the [Printers] window to set up the printer.

Click [Start], point to [Settings], and then click [Printers].

Double-click the [Add Printer] icon.

In the [Shared Printers] box, double-click the name of the computer used as a
