10 Replace the top cover on the chassis (

Hold the cover at an angle, and slide it onto the chassis.

Insert the four screws that secure the cover to the chassis, and use the 
screwdriver to tighten the screws.

11 With two people facing the front of the equipment rack, set the VPN Router 

5000 on the rack-mount shelf.

12 Insert one of the 1/2-in. truss screws through the bottom hole on each side of 

the shelf into the hole in the rack, and tighten the screws.

13 Replace the front bezel (

).

Hold the bezel by the two handles, and push the bezel onto the chassis.

Use the screwdriver to tighten the two screws that secure the bezel to the 
chassis.

The VPN Router 5000 ships with dual, hot-swappable 350-watt power supplies in 
the chassis, and the VPN Router 5000E ships with dual, hot swappable 500-watt 
power supplies in the chassis. The power supplies share the load of providing 
power to the VPN Router 5000. If one power supply fails, the second one provides 
all the power required by the gateway.

The VPN Router 5000E complies with the Restriction of Use of Certain 
Hazardous Substances (RoHS) requirements. The VPN Router 5000E uses a 
500-watt power supply because production of the 350-watt power supply has 
ended. The VPN Router 5000 supports only the 350-watt power supply and the 
VPN Router 5000E supports only the 500-watt power supply.

Warning: The VPN Router 5000 weighs approximately 50 pounds (23 
kg). You must use two people to install the gateway in the equipment 
rack.
