Nortel WLAN—Management Software 2300 Series Reference Guide

Change the service port numbers if needed, then click Next. 

The installer displays the memory limitations for the client and for WMS Services (if applicable). By 
default, up to 512 MB of RAM are allocated for each. To change this amount for the client, for WMS 
Services, or for both, select the new amount(s), then click Next. 

When installation is complete, you see a page similar to the following, which reports that the installation 
was successful and identifies the directory in which WLAN Management Software was installed.

Click Done.

During installation, an installation log file, WLAN Management Software_InstallLog.log, is created and placed in the 
WLAN Management Software installation folder. Double-click the log file’s icon to read the log file. Have this log file 
available if you need to contact the Nortel Enterprise Technical Support (NETS) about an installation problem.

If you plan to use the remote configuration option to configure new 

switches, you must use port 443 for WMS Services. When a switch requests its 
configuration from WMS Services, it sends the request to port 443. 

If you don’t change the port numbers here but you need to later, you can 

change them at any time from within WLAN Management Software. (See
