2
Select Tools > WMS Services Setup. The WMS Services Setup dialog box appears. (See
.)
3
Select Setup, then select WSS Connection Settings.
4
Click the WSSs Connection Settings tab.
5
To change the number of seconds WMS Services waits for a TCP connection with a WSS to
reach the Connect stage, type or select the value in the Connect Timeout box. You can specify
from 1 to 30 seconds. The default is 15 seconds.
6
To change the number of times WMS Services will reattempt to query a switch, if WMS
Services does not receive a reply to the first query attempt within the connect timeout, type or
select the value in the Retry Count box. You can specify from 0 to 5 retries. The default is 5
retries.
7
To prevent WMS Services from accepting all types of certificates from the WSSs it monitors,
click Accept all certificates to disable the option.
By default, WMS Services accepts certificates from WSSs regardless of whether they are
generated by a certificate authority (CA) or they are self-signed certificates. When you disable
this option, the Accept self-signed certificates option remains enabled.
8
To prevent WLAN Management Software Services from accepting self-signed certificates from
the WSSs it monitors, click Accept self-signed certificates to disable the option.
When both the Accept all certificates and Accept self-signed certificates options are disabled,
WMS Services accepts only-CA generated certificates.
9
To specify a key store filename and a password to protect access to that file:
a
Enter the filename in the File box.
b
To change the file type for the key store file, select one of the following:
PKCS12—Public-Key Cryptography Standard number 12, the standard format used
by Linux machines.
JKS—Java Key Store, a format used by Java platforms and applications.
c
Enter the password in the Password box.
When both the Accept all certificates and Accept self-signed certificates options are disabled,
and you specify a key store file, WMS Services accepts a certificate from a WSS only if the
public key information for that certificate is in the key store file.
10 Click Save to save the changes or Cancel to cancel the changes.
11 Click another tab to configure more settings or click Close to close the WMS Services Setup
dialog box.
Changing Monitoring Settings
By default, status monitoring and monitoring of WSS notifications is enabled. Status monitoring supplies data
for the Explore and Status Summary windows of the Monitor tab. SNMP notifications (traps) generated by
WSSs supply data for the Client Monitor, RF Monitor, and RF Trends windows.
 lists the source of the
data for each window in the Monitor tab and for the Performance Statistics window.
