The
Modem
 box
Edit Modem
 button displays the
Edit Modem
 window. You
view and change internal modem definitions in the
Edit Modem
 window.
The fields in the
Edit Modem
 window apply to all calls established on an
ISDN Primary Rate RAC unless settings in the configuration file override
these values.
PPP Dial Access
PPP Dial Access is available only for these devices: 5393/6300, 5399,
and 8000.
PPP lets you use the RAC to provide access for remote nodes through the
telephone network, using the RAC channels or WAN/CAS DS0 channels
in combination with:
Analog modems (V.34, V.32)
ISDN BRI lines with terminal adapters using a rate adaptation
protocol
ISDN BRI lines using ISDN adapter cards or personal ISDN
routers (Nautica Series CLAM)
ISDN PRI lines using ISDN routers (Nautica Series Marlin)
Switched 56 and switched 64 synchronous lines
To configure RACs for PPP:
1.
Create a RAC list and select the RACs you want to configure
(page 2-1).
2.
In the
Main
window, select PPP Dial Access from the Setup field
at the top of the window or click
Setup
 and then select
PPP Dial
Access
.
