This section describes the PCAP show commands and describes the information 
in the tables the router displays.

Circuit

Circuit name assigned to the interface.

Channel

Channel in a DS3 access card or virtual path identifier 
(VPI)/virtual channel identifier (VCI) on an ATM module. 

Buf Size (KB)

Size of capture buffer in 1024-byte increments. 

Pkt Size (Bytes)

Number of bytes saved from a packet.

Dir

Direction of capture: receive, transmit, or both.

Circuit

Circuit name assigned to the interface.

Channel

Channel in a DS3 access card or virtual path identifier 
(VPI)/virtual channel identifier (VCI) on an ATM module. 

Operational State

Current operational state of the packet capture instance. 
Possible values here are: 
•

up -- Registered and enabled.

•

down -- Registered but disabled.

•

init -- Loaded but no interface registered for the 
instance.

•

not present -- Not loaded on the slot connected to the 
instance.

Capture State

State of the packet capture subsystem, either stopped or 
started.

Packet Count 

Number of packets captured.

Dir

Direction of capture: receive, transmit, or both.
