ARP Show Command
This section describes the ARP show command and the information in the tables
the router displays.

The
show arp
command displays the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table.
This table shows the mapping between the host address, its MAC address, and
how the address was learned.

The output includes the following information about each host listed:
Address
IP address of the host.
Hardware Addr
MAC address of the host.
Type
How the address was resolved to the MAC address:
dynamic means that ARP resolved it; static means that it
was configured through an adjacent host entry.

Encaps
Indicates the data link encapsulation type being used for
ARP packets.
