Make sure that the file name does not have an extension and does not

Packet capture creates a new file that you can copy to diskette and insert in the
Network Associates Sniffer. The name of the file begins with the packet
capture file name and ends with the extension that the Network Associates
Sniffer requires.

For a CSMA/CD packet capture file named PCAP1000, enter the

Note:
If you use PPP, you can convert the file, but you must use the sniffer
protocol forcing option in order to decode the packets.
