In the Stacked Linears tab of Visual Menu, choose Decoding On under Composite
Code. Click the Write Settings to Device button (
) to send the new setting to the
imager.

Message Length
The message length selection is used to set the valid reading length of the bar code. If
the data length of the scanned bar code doesn’t match the valid reading length, the
imager will issue an error beep. You may wish to set the same value for minimum and
maximum length to force the imager to read fixed length bar code data. This
configuration helps reduce the chances of a misread.

Decode only those bar codes with a count of 9-20 characters.
