Dealing With Other Troubles
When other problems occur, follow the check points below to troubleshoot.

Treatment
No power.
Is the plug inserted into the socket?
Push the plug into the socket properly.
Is the plug firmly inserted to the machine?
Push the plug into the machine firmly.
Is the power switch at “|” (On)?
Turn the power switch to “|” (On).
Is the breaker switch at “|” (On)?
Turn the breaker switch to “|” (On).
The screen display of
the main control panel is
dim.
Is the brightness adjustment dial at a too
dark level?
Use the brightness adjustment dial to
adjust the brightness of the screen
display.
The message, “Ready
to copy” is not
displayed.
Is the plug inserted into the socket?
Push the plug into the socket properly.
Are there messages on the display
screen?
Follow the instructions shown to deal
with the problem.
The copies are dirty.
Is the document glass or the document
cover dirty?
Clean the document glass or the
document cover.
Are the documents of very high
transparency level (e.g transparencies)?
If documents with high transparency
level are used, dirty spots on the
document cover will be copied as well.
Place a white paper on the document
before copying.
Are the documents colored, rough-
textured or burnt?
Adjust either the density level or image
quality.
Are the documents glossy sensitized
paper?
As glossy sensitized paper sticks easily
onto the document glass, the shadows
are copied as black spots. Place a
transparent material, like transparency,
below the document.
If the edges of the film below the 
document are copied, select 
Lighter for Lighter/Darker.
The copies are too dark.
Is the copy density set at Darker?
Adjust the density level.
The copies are too light.
Are the documents printed too light?
Adjust the copy density. For black and
white documents, select Pencil Text
(Black)
 in Text for Original Type.
Is the Lighter/Darker value set at
Lightest?
