Emulate Paper Tint
The user can now emulate the color output to adjust white point value of the used paper stock.
For example, to simulate pink paper stock while using white paper stock, the user may use the
corresponding emulation profile and select the paper tint check box, the result will be that in
addition to the job emulation, the paper tint will be also emulated and will have a pink shade.
To emulate the paper tint:
1. Go
to: Color Tab > CMYK Workflow.
2. Select
the Emulation paper tint check box.
Notes:
The Emulation paper tint check box is enabled only if the user selects the Device Link
Emulation
 profile.
When the Emulation paper tint check box is selected, the rendering intent that will be used is
Absolute Colorimetric.
If the job is simplex, only the front side will be printed using the tint emulation.
HKS and Pantone 2000 Spot Colors Support
The Spire Spot Color Dictionary for this version includes CMYK equivalents also for HKS (HKS E,
N, K, Z) and Pantone 2000 (Pantone C, U, M) spot color libraries.
The CXP6000 Color Server automatically matches these spot colors with their CMYK
equivalents. The user may also edit the default CMYK equivalents using the Spire Spot Color
Editor tool.
Spot Colors
Spot Colors are preserved through the whole color workflow within the system and are not
affected by any of the system color adjustments tools like Gradation, Brightness Contrast.
DTP 34 new firmware- upgrade
In D:\Utilities\DTP34 Upgrade folder, there is an installer that upgrades the DTP34
Densitometer. Since the Spire application does not detect whether the DTP34 requires
upgrading, it is recommended to upgrade the DTP34 if there is doubt whether it requires
upgrading.
