Solving printing problems
PostScript printing errors
If you get a PostScript error when printing from Aldus PageMaker, Aldus
FreeHand, QuarkXPress, or Canvas, you may be using an older or incorrect
version of the printer description Þle.  Refer to the topic ÒPrinting from an
applicationÓ in either Chapter 2, ÒPrinting from a Macintosh,Ó or Chapter 3,
ÒPrinting from a PC,Ó for instructions on using printer description Þles.
When using printer description Þles, it is important to match the
applicationÕs version number to the printerÕs Þrmware version number.  You
can check the printerÕs Þrmware version number by printing a copy of the
printerÕs startup page.  Refer to the topic ÒEnabling and disabling the
startup pageÓ in Chapter 8, ÒModifying Printer Operation,Ó for instructions
on printing the startup page.  If you have upgraded your printerÕs Þrmware
version, you may need a newer printer description Þle.
For the most current printer description Þles, check the Tektronix Bulletin
Board System (BBS).  Refer to the topic ÒUsing the Tektronix Bulletin Board
SystemÓ in this chapter for instructions on using the Tektronix BBS.
The following table lists a few Macintosh applications and the possible
PostScript errors. For information on PC and other applications, request a
document catalog from HAL. Refer to the topic ÒUsing the automated fax
systemÓ in this chapter for instructions on using HAL.
