Install the Tektronix Windows driver as described in the topic 
ÒInstalling the Tektronix driverÓ in this chapter.  

Edit the CONTROL.INF Þle as follows to make the driver available 
to other users:

Start Notepad, or a similar text editor. 

Insert the Tektronix Windows 3.1 Windows Driver diskette 
into your computerÕs disk drive, for example drive B.

In Notepad, open the CONTROL.ADD Þle on the Tektronix 
diskette.

Locate the entries for Tektronix Phaser printers.  Select your 
printer (highlight the line with your printer), and copy the line 
to the Clipboard by selecting Copy from the Edit menu.  If 
desired, you can select and copy all of the Tektronix printers 
listed.  

In Notepad, open the CONTROL.INF Þle located in the 
network Windows System directory, by selecting Open from 
the File menu.

Search for the string Phaser to Þnd the existing Tektronix 
printer entries.

Paste the printer information from the Clipboard into the 
CONTROL.INF Þle above the existing Tektronix printer 
entries, by selecting Paste from the Edit menu.

If desired, the existing Tektronix printer entries can be deleted 
or commented-out by placing a semicolon (;) at the beginning 
of each line.  It might be less confusing to users to have only 
one Tektronix printer to choose from in the driver.

Windows users can add the Tektronix printer to their Printers 
Control Panel  in the usual way.
