Phaser 750 Color Printer
Troubleshooting Phaser 750 Printers
Printed colors are not what you expect
The printed colors do not match your monitor:
Select another Color Correction option in a supported driver and print the image
again.
If you use a non-supported driver and share the printer on a network, the printer’s
default color correction may have been changed.
If you use the driver’s Use Printer Setting option and printed colors are not what you
expected, check the following:
Check the printer’s color density settings in the front panel Calibrate Colors
menu. You may need to adjust one or all of the colors. Refer to Adjusting Color
Density
on page 38 for details.
Print quality varies for different types of paper. To optimize print quality for the
paper you use, refer to Calibrate for Paper on page 40 for details.
A selection may have been made in the front panel’s TekColor Correction menu.
A color correction utility file may have been downloaded to the printer.
Monitors versus Printers
Monitors and printers reproduce colors differently:
Display colors on a monitor are formed from additive colors, Red, Green,
and Blue, with emitted light.
Printed colors are formed with subtractive colors, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow,
and Black, with reflected light.
