Clearing Jams at the 500-Sheet Feeder
1. Gently pull the 500-sheet feeder out as far as possible and then lift it slightly to pull it out all the
way (see images below).
2. Remove the misfed paper. If necessary, remove the dust cover from Tray 1 and close the tray.
3. Remove the dust cover from the 500-sheet feeder and remove all the paper from the tray.
4. Fan the paper and align its edges.
5. Press down the tray’s paper pressure plate to lock it in place.
