The Xerox
®
 Scan Utility allows you to scan images from the printer directly to your computer. Scanned 
images are not stored in the printer. You can create scan templates, preview images, copy images to a 
folder on your computer, and copy images to email. You can also import images into Windows 
applications using their import and image management functions. 
 
Note: 
You must install the scan drivers to use the Xerox
®
 Scan Utility. For details, see 
Installing the 
Software
 on page 32. 
  
 
 
Scanning Directly to Your Computer 
To scan directly to your computer using your own template: 
1.  Load the original on the document glass or in the document feeder. 
2.  Press the Services Home button, then touch Workflow Scanning
3.  Touch the Down arrow, then select All Templates from the menu. 
4.  In the list, touch the scan template you created. For details about creating a template, see

Note: 
Control panel selections override the settings in CentreWare Internet Services. 
 
5.  To change any of the scan settings, use the options at the bottom of the touch screen: 


6.  Press the green Start button. 
7.  Enter your user credentials: 
a.  On the Login Required screen, touch OK. 
b.  Use the touch screen keyboard to type your user name, then touch Next
c.  Type your password, then touch Done
The touch screen shows the job progress. Your file is stored in the selected folder on your computer.
