❒ Do not touch the camera direct print card while the machine is in use. It

may come loose, even if pushed only slightly.

❒ Be sure to return the provided screwdriver to its original position on the in-

side of the front cover.

❒ After finishing installation, check the camera direct print card is installed

properly: print the configuration page from the “List/Test Print” menu. If it is
installed properly, you will see “PictBridge” for “Device Connection”.

❒ If the camera direct print card is not installed properly, reinstall it from the

start of the procedure. If you cannot install it properly even after attempting
reinstallation, contact your sales or service representative.

❒ When connecting a digital camera to the printer via USB, you must use the

USB host interface unit.

❒ When connecting a digital camera to the printer via USB, you must use the

USB port of the USB host interface unit.

❒ Before handling the USB host interface unit, ground yourself by touching

something metal to discharge any static electricity. Static electricity can dam-
age the USB host interface unit.

❒ Do not subject the USB host interface unit to physical shocks.
