• Wireless email settings: You can set and manage your out-of-office auto-reply, change email filters,
and update your auto-signature over the wireless network.
• Automatic wireless backup: Your handheld settings, such as icon positions, font settings, and

• Wireless encryption key regeneration: You can regenerate encryption keys directly from your
handheld.
• Sent item synchronization: Messages sent from your email client can now be sent to the Sent Items
folder on your handheld.

Known issues
• If you back up your profiles from a Java-based BlackBerry Wireless Handheld to a C++-based
BlackBerry Wireless Handheld, and then edit a profile and save your changes, the changes are not
saved.
Impact: You cannot restore the profiles database in a backup from a Java-based handheld to your
C++-based handheld.
Workaround: After restoring your handheld data, clear the profiles database using the dekstop
software. See the
Backup and Restore Online Help for more information on clearing databases.
Issue No.: SDR41935
• If you cancel Enterprise Activation on your handheld before it completes, and then you activate your
handheld again, permitting the process to complete, the Wireless Synchronization field in the
calendar options is set to No.
Impact: Your handheld calendar is not enabled for wireless synchronization.
Workaround: In the calendar options, set the Wireless Sync field to Yes.
