Using Tests in Expressions and Instructions
The TI
-86 Evaluation Operating System (Appendix) performs all operations except Boolean
operators before it performs relational functions. For example:

The expression 
2+2==2+3
 evaluates to 
0
. The TI
-86 performs the addition first, and then
compares 4 to 5.
♦ 
The expression 
2+(2==2)+3
 evaluates to 
6
. The TI
-86 performs the test in parentheses
first, and then adds 2, 1, and 3.
