Use the power supply user EXEC command on the switch stack or on a standalone switch to configure 
and manage the internal power supplies on the switch.

power supply switch-number {reset {hard | soft} slot {A | B} {off | on}}

The switch power supply is on.

User EXEC

The power supply command applies to a Catalyst 3560-X switch, a Catalyst 3750-X standalone switch, 
or a switch stack with only Catalyst 3750-X switches. 

In a switch stack with only Catalyst 3750-X switches, you must specify the stack member before 
entering the reset {hard | soft} or slot {A | B} off or on keywords.

The no power supply user EXEC command is not supported. To return to the default setting, use the 
power supply switch-number on command.

This example shows how to reset everything (including hardware) for stack member 2 in a switch stack:

Switch> power supply 2 reset hard

Specify the stack member. The range is 1 to 9, depending on the switch 
member numbers in the stack.

This parameter is available only on on stacking-capable switches.

reset {hard | soft}

Reset the switch or switch software.

reset hard —Reset everything, including switch hardware.

reset soft —Reset the switch software only.

slot {A | B}

Specify a switch power supply to set.

A —Select the power supply in slot A.

B —Select the power supply in slot B.

Power supply slot B slot is the closest to the outer edge of the 
switch. 

Set the switch power supply off.

Set the switch power supply on.
