Managing Two or More 
Calls
You can manage multiple calls at the same 
time, as follows:
Put an ongoing call on hold, then make a 
new one or answer an incoming call.
Start a conference call during an ongoing 
call (mobile network operator-dependent).
Put the conference call on hold, while 
isolating one party of the call for a private 
exchange.
Make a call using another line (if you have 
the ALS service on your SIM card). See 
ALS Settings on page 69.
Retrieve or hang up an on-hold call.
Conference calls
You can start a 
conference call 
when you have one 
active call and one 
on hold. Select 
Start conference 
call
 from the 
More
 
menu to start the 
call. The maximum 
number of 
conference parties 
is five.
Note: Conference calls are only available if 
they are supported by your mobile network 
operator.
Call Log
The 
Call log
 application makes a log entry for 
all your calls.
 
Here, you can find call 
information, such as the call type, time, date, 
phone number, and call length.
You can also make phone calls and notes 
directly from the log.
Features
Setting up speed dial numbers
Speed dial numbers are represented by number 
keys 
 to 
 and are used to reach your 
nine Speed contacts from the keyboard. To set 
up your Speed contacts, see Creating a speed contact on page 32.
Controlling tone-based services
You can use your phone for phone banking 
services or other tone-based services that use 
DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency).
Send tones during a call, as follows:
Press the keyboard keys during an active 
call.
Include a tone sequence when dialing.
Use digit sequences stored in Contacts 
entries.
