Sent 
– contains sent messages.
SIM
 – a folder located on your SIM card.
You may also find the following types of 
folders:
Local folders you have created yourself.
Remote email folders you have subscribed 
to, located on your email server (these 
require you to have selected the IMAP 
connection type during setup).
This figure shows the main view in 
Messaging: 
A. Shortcuts to call voicemail and create new 
messages.
B. Account for all message types, except 
email.
C. Folder list. Press

the arrow icon to change folders. Select 
the folder name to open the folder.
D. Email account. You can have as many 
email accounts as you like.

SMS
A message can contain up to 160 characters. If 
you create a longer message, it will be sent as 
two or more separate messages 
(concatenated), but usually received as one. If 
you add pictures, sounds, or other items to 
your message, it becomes an EMS (Enhanced 
Message Service) message.
You can answer an SMS with an MMS. You 
can also receive a delivery report (see SMS on 
page 78)
.
MMS
Multimedia messages can include images, 
video clips, animations, and sound, organized 
as a slide presentation with time-based 
playback control. You can reply to an MMS 
with an SMS.
If sending or receiving messages is 
interrupted, it will resume when it becomes 
possible, without losing information.
