Zoom mode 
The Zoom indicator thumbnail displays the 
part of the image you have magnified. You can 
use the stylus to drag the image around the 
screen. Capture the visible part of the image by 
selecting 
More > Edit > Crop
.
Editing options 
Select 
More > Edit 
to access an editing options 
menu. You can rotate, mirror, or flip an image, 
as well as paste the clipboard contents into it 
and resize it for different uses, such as MMS 
messaging and wallpaper. If you change your 
mind, you can undo your changes.
Adding clip art, text, and frames
Select 
More > Add 
to add clip art, formatted 
text, and a frame to your image.Frames are 
applied to the entire image.
Adding effects 
Select 
More > Effects 
to filter an image. 
Some filters allow you to adjust the level of the 
effect.
Preferences
Select 
More > Preferences 
to set the size, 
background color, and quality (
Good
Medium
 
or 
High
, which affects file size) for new 
images you create with 
Picture editor
.
Sound Recorder
Select 
Multimedia > Sound recorder
.
Tip You can assign the shortcut button to 
launching the Sound recorder and starting and 
stopping the recording. (see Hardware Button 
on page 74)

Record
To start a new recording, scroll to 
New 
recording
, then press the Jog Dial or tap 
Rec
Recording will start after the beep.
You can also continue previous recordings. 
Scroll to the desired clip, then select 
Rec
Recording will resume at the end of the 
previously recorded material.
Press 
Stop
 when you have finished recording.
Playback
Scroll to the desired clip, then select 
Play
Rotate the Jog Dial to adjust the playback 
volume.
Managing recordings
On the 
More
 menu, there are commands to 
rename, send, and delete recordings.
