Canon’s
New HDgc Lenses
Let You
Maximize
The Potential
Of Your
JVC ProHD
If you own or plan to buy a JVC ProHD Camcorder you'll want to
make sure it's outfitted with the KT20x5B KRS Canon HDgc lens.
Like all of the lenses in Canon's HDgc line, the KT20x5B KRS
delivers superb optical quality and features many of Canon's
remarkable high-end advances.
By using JVC's 2/3 inch-to-1/3 inch lens adapter, you can also
use Canon's full line of 2/3-inch HDgc lenses. These include the
KJ21ex7.6B IRSE (telephoto lens), the KJ10ex4.5B IRSE (wide-
angle lens), and the KJ16ex7.7B IRSE (standard lens). Canon's
exclusive Digital eDrive feature is included in all three of these
lenses, and is a principal difference (along with zoom-speed
range and a built-in 2X extender) between these models and
the more economical KT20x5B KRS lens and the 2/3-inch
KJ13x6B KRS lens.
All HDgc lenses feature:
Canon’s innovative technology
enhancing optical
performance and user benefits.
Well-Controlled MTF (Modulation Transfer
Function)
–plus excellent contrast performance over the
entire image plane, and minimized chromatic aberrations.
Compact design
lightweight in direct response to the
equally compact new generation of HD camcorders.
Minimizing environmental impact
Canon manufactures
all of its lenses, including the new HDgc models, without lead,
cadmium, mercury, and other toxins to minimize the impact on
the environment–a company policy.
Canon’s exclusive Shuttle Shot function
. An advanced servo
system that facilitates zooming back and forth between any two
focal length positions and brings an entirely new range of value-
added creativity to hand-held acquisition systems.
A new ergonomic drive unit.
A new, smaller drive unit that not
only fits comfortably into the palm of the user’s hand, but also
improves the feeling of unity between the user and drive unit.
These drive units, featuring a grip support and ribbed surface, are
tilted at an ideal angle in order to achieve a better balance, to
provide more comfort, and reduce operator fatigue.
