15.2 Mechanical troubles for BBC
SYMPTOM
PROBLEM CAUSE

Paper jams during book
block transfer in the clamp.
The squareness of the side
joggers is not correct (side
joggers are tighter on the top
than on the bottom of the
compiler).
Adjust squareness of the side
jogger with the BGB

Paper jams when running
light or curled paper.
Install the magnetic
corrugation bars. See Operator

'Dog ear' on the spine of the
book or paper jams when
transferring book block to
the carriage clamp of the
Binder.
Curled down paper touches
the movable jaws of the
carriage clamp of the binder
when transferring the book
block into the binder.
Increase the extra width of
the carriage clamp by
the carriage clamp by
30
mm
or more using the main screen
of the BBC.
This will increase the extra
width of the carriage clamp
(

thickness of the book block
measured in the transfer
clamp).
