Unlike Xerox centralized fonts, where a different font is required for each
orientation, a single Paris font contains all four orientations. If two orientations of
the same font are loaded into the Conversion Manager both will be given the same
family, size and style. As a result, the second file will have the message ‘Family
Details already used’ displayed in the Remarks column.

When the fonts are sent through for conversion, only one Paris multi-orientation is
created, but during the conversion process both Xerox source font names are added
to the Paris internal fonts.ini file. If a job then asks for either of these fonts by the
original name, Paris is able to map the correct internal Paris font.
