Xerox® PrintBack Agent for Macintosh
Installation Guide
Note:
If you select email, Xerox recommends that you use a separate or dedicated email account
with PrintBack.
Installing the Xerox® PrintBack Agent
1. To download the Xerox
®
PrintBack Agent, go to
2. Click
Drivers and Downloads, ensure that the correct operating system and language are selected,
then click
Xerox PrintBack Agent Installer.
3. At the License Agreement screen, select your language, then click
Agree.
4. At the Xerox
®
PrintBack installation window, double-click the
Xerox PrintBack Preferences Pane.
5. At the System Preferences window, select
Install for this user only or Install for all users of this
computer, then click Install.
6. At the Xerox
®
PrintBack Setup screen, do one of the following:
• If you already have a Dropbox account and want to use it to print from your mobile device,
click
OK.
If you do not have a Dropbox account, but want to use one, click the link to
Create a Dropbox
Note:
Xerox recommends that you select Dropbox for use with PrintBack.
• To use a Web-based email account, click the arrow at the right of the Provider box, and select
your email provider from the list. Enter your account information, then click
OK.
To create an email account, select an email provider, then click the link to the provider website.

7. At the Xerox
®
PrintBack Off/On screen, ensure that the On/Off switch is on and the Status indicates
it is running.
8. Close the Xerox
®
PrintBack Agent window.
Changing the Xerox® PrintBack Agent Preferences
1. In the dock of your computer, click
System Preferences > Xerox PrintBack.
2. Click
Preferences.
3. At the Business Documents window, click
Never Print, Print Immediately, or Always Hold for the
action to take when handling your business documents.
4. Do one of the following:
• To print without resetting the password, click
Accept.
• To reset the print password, click
Reset, then click Accept.
5. To get information about the version of the PrintBack Agent, click
About.
6. To provide feedback regarding the installation or the application, click
Feedback.
7. Close the Xerox
®
PrintBack Agent window.
