Connecting Scanners and
Hard Drives
Your printer comes with an IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) port which can be
used to connect an internal hard drive, and an optional SCSI (Small Computer
System Interface) port which can be used for connecting external hard disk drives
and scanners.

The printer supports up to seven SCSI devices, as long as each has a unique SCSI ID
number (any number between 0 – 5) and the final device in the “daisy chain” is
appropriately terminated. Devices can be connected in any combination of model
