If you want to use a printer hosted by another user’s computer, do 
the following:  

Open the 

Chooser from the Apple menu.

Click the 

Phaser 540 GX printer driver icon on the left side of the 

Chooser.    

In the 

Connect via field’s pop-up menu, select Servers.    

The list of printers in the 

Chooser changes to show only shared 

printers.  Click on the shared

 printer you want to use.

Close the 

Chooser.
